Thoreau’s Cabin

Makaio of Green Timber Works is instructing high school students at North Country Career Center in cutting a replica frame of the Henry David Thoreau’s iconic cabin on Walden Pond. All of the timbers were harvested and milled by the forestry class. The cabin will be raised by the public trail system in Newport when it is ready.
